I realize it seems weird that someone who helps others develop/sustain their identity in this new world of digital business is writing on this topic. But let me give you the background...
About Brands
So as a Brand/Event Manager I consider our approach non-traditional in that we aren't as concerned with numbers or simply visuals as we we are about Identity. Therefore, along the way we've had to ask ourselves both as a company and as individuals - what is OUR identity? We all need to take the advice that we give others.
Thus, we chose to pull back from our direction a year ago and re-brand ourselves and focus on some things that were more important to us than just making a name promoting others...Things like like "More than Beautiful" which you can find info about on our website www.kishorventures.com
For me personally if I had to pick what is my own Brand as an individual other than helping others, the two first words that come up would be Coaching & Relationships. Let me explain...
First, I haven't always been in Brand Management but I have always been a Coach of different sorts. I even built a Basketball Academy with a good friend/business partner of mine. Especially, I have always found myself Coaching people in life. A lot of my past work involved helping people find purpose and make decisions. Even more for about a decade I helped people decide if Marriage is for them or not and then helped prepare them all the way up to the Altar then, supporting couples or families through the years as life got real.
I was also Married for almost half my life and have 6 children all from that Marriage. The ironic thing is that I am not Married anymore...however, I've come to embrace this just adds another dynamic to my experience when it comes to Relationships and helps me understand a different side of Relationships! Remember this blog is about Relationships of all types...the things we will explore can be relevant to Friends, Co-workers, Parents, Siblings, & Romantic situations.
The next post is dedicated to Jason Silva for those of you who know him...he is part of the light bulb moment that helped me realize I needed to write my book and this blog!
